What does it take to be a good DJ? First and foremost a good DJ selects songs that create a particular mood or feeling. A good DJ also has the skills to transition from song to song, even genre to genre, in a way that enhances the atmosphere of the event. It’s really all about using music That’s why I’ll probably go into motion picture sound design when I’m too old to DJ. My approach: I like to focus on what you want. I’ve found that the best results come when I know the type of experience you want for you and your guests and play the music that helps create that experience.
