Topics such as insurance, equipment, and ‘Do Not Play’ lists are key to finalizing the details for your event. Not being clear on certain issues can not only cost you a lot of money, the can sometimes make or break your event. Be sure to ask these questions whenever you’re about to hire a DJ.
Are you insured?
The Music Concierge carries a full liability insurance policy. This will protect you, the DJ and the venue from any unfortunate circumstances. This is one of the most important questions to ask.
What equipment do you use?
Our DJ’s us a variety of professional grade brands. The specific equipment being used can vary depending on the type of event, the venue, as well as the genre of music being played. We also have backup equipment, as well as party lighting, uplighting and wireless microphones for toasts, speeches or karaoke sessions. Will you be the DJ at our event?
The Music Concierge DJ’s are highly trained professionals that believe in continuing education and training to stay up to date on the latest trends in our industry. The DJ you consult with will be the DJ at your event. That said, when you book a wedding, corporate event or mitzvah with The Music Concierge, if requested, you will be getting the owner, William Taylor aka DJ Love MD, as the DJ and Master of Ceremony at your event.
How can I reserve my date?
You can reserve a date by scheduling a consultation to review the details of your event. Even if you’ve already decided that you would like to hire a DJ through The Music Concierge, I want to make sure that the services we provide match with the vision you have in mind for your event. Only when everyone is comfortable, will we sign a contract and take a modest deposit.
How do you motivate the crowd?
There are many ways to motivate your crowd. Depending on the type of event, we can inspire your guests with crowd participation contests, games, line dances, taking requests and more. Our DJs provide professional MC service that’s energetic, but never cheesy.
What if our DJ can’t make it?
We always have a backup for our DJ’s in case of an emergency. We also consistently touch base with our clients and backup DJs so that unforeseen events are handled seamlessly and your night goes perfect as planned.
Music Requests/Do Not Play List:
We are always open to taking requests. Our extensive consultation forms are designed to uncover and develop your “musical profile.” They cover things like genres of music you want to hear, your favorite artists and bands, your must play genres, artists and songs and other details. We serve at your pleasure, so if you would like us to take requests during your event we certainly will do our best to accommodate them. Our DJs have wireless internet access and software that allows us to download and play the newest releases. During your consultation our DJ will also discuss with you what songs should not be played. We want you to have your event, your way.
The DJ’s attire will be discussed with you during the consultation. This will give you the freedom to decide what you will comfortable with while making sure that your DJ matches your occasion.
