Cincinnati Music Scene

The Cincinnati music scene is a thriving mix of talented performers in many genres. It reminds me of the powerhouse college basketball programs of the past that would send four, five and six players to the NBA. The breadth and depth of the Cincinnati Music Scene is outstanding. Whether it’s Indie Rock, Americana, Hip Hop, Garage Punk or straight on Pop, the music scene is Cincinnati is unusually strong and diverse. I’ve been in and around the scene for the past 20 years and have had the pleasure of seeing musicians across a number of genres entertain fans of all ages so maybe I’m a bit of a homer. But having spent time in other towns and talked with musicians passing through ours, I think it’s safe to say that ours is a city on the rise. So I decided to put together a quick mix of some of my favorite songs to jam on in 2013. It’s Cin The Mix: Best 2013 is a mix of some of my favorite indie rock songs to play, sing and dance to by Cincinnati bands. All originals, except the last song, it includes the following tracks:

1. 0:00 Lightning by Pluto Revolts
2. 4:10 I Like It by Foxy Shazam
3. 6:58 I Need You by Public
4. 11:04 Desdemona by Plastic Inevitables
5. 14:26 Ziggurat by Peter Adams
6. 18:22 Tightrope by Walk The Moon
7. 21:48 Free Ride(Ruckus Roboticus Remix) by Ruckus Roboticus
